Accredited Satyananda Yoga Teacher |
Yogamani
My mum took me to my first yoga class when I was thirteen; then I was the giggling teenager at the back of the class.
Now more than three decades and many classes later, it is still my pleasure to be sharing yoga with others, thirteen year olds included. Yoga has become my life and I'm so grateful to my mum for that first introduction.
The yogic path led me to study more formally, attaining certificates in Yoga for Pregnancy and becoming an accredited Satyananda Yoga teacher with a Diploma in Yoga from The Satyananda Yoga Academy, Australia.
I continue to be a student of Yoga and look forward to sharing the wisdom and benefits of yoga.
Namasté!

Nearly twenty-five years ago after a minor car accident I joined a yoga class to sort out a sore lower back; after a short time I was totally hooked. Ten years later it seemed a natural progression to start teaching, and I completed the two year training course at the Satyananda Yoga Centre, London.
Since then it has been a privilege to share the practices of Satyananda Yoga, not just postures and breathwork, but also the unique meditations in our tradition, and kirtan (chanting) & Nada Yoga (yoga of sound).
And working with older and less flexible students is also a great pleasure, seeing how even the simplest of yoga practices, when done with awareness, can bring real benefits and positive change.
